Automatic Term Logic
The dashboard automatically selects the "Starting Term" (defining the student population) and the next fall or spring term as the "Enrollment Term" based on today's date, in alignment with the most relevant enrollment information (during enrollment, through the add/drop period, and beyond for any final auditing). The automatic term logic follows this schedule:

November 1 – March 14

  • Enrollment Term: Spring Term

  • Starting Term: Students enrolled in the previous Fall Term

March 15 – October 31

  • Enrollment Term: Fall

  • Starting Term: Students enrolled in the previous Spring

Students That Graduate
Students are excluded if they graduate in the Reference Term or the subsequent Summer term (e.g., a student enrolled in Spring who graduates in May or August will not appear in the Fall retention list).
